Bridge Street Middle School and Silgan Plastics Corporation Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to release Bridge Street Middle School’s video submission in the Northern region of the Explore Student Video Contest.  The video showcases how Silgan Plastics Corporation uses plastic injection molding machines to produce lids for a variety of products. Silgan is located in Triadelphia, West Virginia.

The students are competing for three regional awards: Outstanding Creativity, Best Manufacturing Message, and the Viewer's Choice.  Visit https://www.exploremfgwv.com/2023-northern-region-video-contest to view the Bridge Street Middle School video and cast your vote in the Viewer’s Choice contest.  Voting closes on March 26th at midnight.

Explore the New Manufacturing Announces the Outstanding North Central Region Award for the Manufacturing Innovation Challenge

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to announce that the Outstanding North Central Region Award for the Explore Manufacturing Innovation Challenge was presented to Monongalia County Technical Education Center (MTEC) for their project with FCX Systems, Inc.  The team’s challenge was to develop a design for a shipping crate for their power units.  Both MTEC and FCX are first-time participants.

MTEC team members include Ethan Brunet-Bailey, Kaleb Busselberg, Fructuoso Cano, Summer Johnson, Tyler Keaton, Nathaniel Lakatos, Robert Lyons, Robert Miller, and Brady Nestor. 

Sherrard Middle School and Edgington Studio Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to release Sherrard Middle School’s video submission in the Northern region of the Explore Student Video Contest.  The video showcases what happens inside Edgington Studio, a cut-and-sew apparel manufacturer with small batch production processes, located in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Oak Glen Middle School and Fiesta Tableware Company Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest
