Sherrard’s Brannan Recognized As Outstanding Industry Educator

SHERRARD — Sherrard Middle School teacher Bricie Brannan was recognized with the Outstanding Educator Award in the accolade’s inaugural year. 

Brannan received the award for her work in the Project Lead the Way and STEM curriculums at her school.

The Emerging Elite & Industry Educator Awards is a celebration the skills and dedication of students and educators across West Virginia.

Jerry Dooley Receives Outstanding Industry Educator Award from Explore the New Manufacturing

Outstanding EducatorGrafton, WV, May 26, 2020 – Explore the New Manufacturing announced today that Jerry Dooley has received an Outstanding Educator Award for his work in middle school students. Dooley, a counselor at Taylor County Middle School, is committed to helping students explore local career opportunities in manufacturing and prepare them for the challenges they will face upon graduation.

Launched in 2020, the Emerging Elite & Industry Educator Awards celebrates the skills and dedication of students and educators across West Virginia. “As the Explore Team has worked with students and educators to increase the understanding of manufacturing across the state, we have been amazed by student talent and poise. The educators involved in our programs are steadfast champions for their students, tirelessly seeking means to help them succeed along their career pathways,” Monica Cross, Program Director of the WVMAEF.

Brannan, a teacher at Sherrard Middle School, works with students in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and STEM curriculums.

Mitchell Davis Receives Emerging Elite Award from Explore the New Manufacturing

Emerging EliteHuntington, WV – Explore the New Manufacturing announced today that Mitchell Davis has been recognized with an Emerging Elite in Manufacturing Award in the internship category. Davis, a former student at Spring Valley High School, is completing an internship with Rubberlite, Inc. A freshman at Marshall University, Davis is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.

Tanner Lee Receives Emerging Elite Award from Explore the New Manufacturing

Emerging EliteCharleston, WV – Explore the New Manufacturing announced today that Tanner Lee has been recognized with an Emerging Elite Award for his work in the classroom. Lee, a student at the Carver Career Technical Center, has excelled as a student leader in his Career & Technical Education Program and as a Explore volunteer.
