Ripley Middle School and Blenko Glass Company Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to release Ripley Middle School’s video submission in the Kanawha Valley region of the Explore Student Video Contest.  The video showcases what happens inside the colorful world of Blenko Glass, located in Milton, West Virginia.

The students are competing for three regional awards: Outstanding Creativity, Best Manufacturing Message, and Viewer's Choice.  Visit https://www.exploremfgwv.com/2023-kanawha-region-video-contest to view the Ripley Middle School video and cast your vote in the Viewer’s Choice Contest.  Voting closes on April 16th at midnight.

Calhoun County Middle School and Armacell, LLC Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to release Calhoun County Middle School’s video submission in the Kanawha Valley region of the Explore Student Video Contest.  The video showcases how Armaflex®, the most trusted brand in flexible, fiber-free mechanical insulation, as well as thermoplastic insulation materials, noise control products, and specialty foams are manufactured in the company’s Spencer, West Virginia facility.

Explore the New Manufacturing Announces Winners for the Explore Student Video Contest Northern Region

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to announce the winners of the Explore Student Video Contest Northern region. Middle school teams were judged on the creation of a 3-minute video about their manufacturing partner, the employees, and cool aspects of the company.

The Best Manufacturing Message Award was presented to Moundsville Middle School for their video about Paul Wissmach Glass Co. Moundsville's winning video declares that shipping art glass all over the world makes Paul Wissmach a very cool manufacturer. 

Team members include Owen Berisford, David Durig III, Adam Evans, Lillie Goddard, Hailey Hill, Lexi Landis, Irelyn Lowe, Elin McGuire, Fiona Ren, Brayden Slaughter, Lorelei Williams, Sadi Willis, and Kaelyn Wyatt.   

Brooke Middle School and Pietro Fiorentini USA Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to release Brooke Middle School’s video submission in the Northern region of the Explore Student Video Contest.  The video showcases the inner workings of Pietro Fiorentini, an Italian company based in Weirton. 

The students are competing for three regional awards: Outstanding Creativity, Best Manufacturing Message, and the Viewer's Choice.  Visit https://www.exploremfgwv.com/2023-northern-region-video-contest to view the Brooke Middle School video and cast your vote in the Viewer’s Choice Contest.  Voting closes on March 26th at midnight.

Bridge Street Middle School and Silgan Plastics Corporation Team Up for the Explore Student Video Contest

Explore the New Manufacturing is pleased to release Bridge Street Middle School’s video submission in the Northern region of the Explore Student Video Contest.  The video showcases how Silgan Plastics Corporation uses plastic injection molding machines to produce lids for a variety of products. Silgan is located in Triadelphia, West Virginia.
