Kyle Brewer Receives 2021 Emerging Elite in Manufacturing Award

headshot KBKingwood, WV, May 18, 2021 – The Explore the New Manufacturing Program announced today that Kyle Brewer has been recognized with an Emerging Elite in Manufacturing Award for his work in the classroom. A Preston County High School student, Brewer has excelled in his electrical and welding training. Brewer will receive a $500 award designated for scholarships, certification fees, or specialty equipment. He will also be presented with a commemorative wooden plaque and gift basket featuring products made in West Virginia.

“Kyle has been an excellent student both last year and currently. He has great welding skills and has an eye for detail. He works through self-paced assignments without being told every move to make. Kyle has obtained his OSHA 10 Certification Card and is working towards a Welding Plate Certification,” Eric Frederick, Welding Instructor, Preston High School.
